Breaux Bridge - Mark Anthony Melancon, 50, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 5 pm until 10 pm, with a rosary being prayed by Wildie Roberts at 7 pm. Inurnment will take place at 2 pm on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge, with Deacon Marcel 'Butch' Hebert officiating. Mark honorably served in the Louisiana Army National Guard. He enjoyed playing pool and was a member A.P.A. He loved drinking coffee and spending time visiting with family and friends. He is survived by his father, Antoine Melancon of Breaux Bridge; his brother, Keith Melancon of Breaux Bridge; his sister, Angela Zeringue and her husband, Scott A. Zeringue, of Youngsville; his nephew, Scott C. Zeringue of Youngsville; and his niece, Carrie Zeringue of Youngsville. He is preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Robert Melancon; and his grandparents, Clephe and Theresa Montet Melancon and Stanley and Safalide Blanchard Robert.
