Breaux Bridge A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Monday, September 15, 2014, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Martha Ann Tabor Latiolais, 61, who passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:30 pm until 10:00 pm on Sunday, and continue at 8:00 am until 10:30 am on Monday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Sunday.
Rev. Bill Melancon will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Merza Smith and Jackie Dupuis. Gift Bearers will be Cherish and Victoria Boudreaux. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
A devout Catholic, Martha was a parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church and a member of the Good News Prayer Group. She loved going to Mass and attending St. Bernards 3rd Sunday Hospitality gatherings. As a pastime, Martha enjoyed playing hand-held games, working puzzles, and going to the casino.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Latiolais of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, Larry Lasseigne and wife, Cora, of Oxford, AL, and Patrick Tabor of Abbeville; seven sisters, Sylvia Trahan and husband, Ignace, of Youngsville, Merza Smith and husband, Collin, of Erath, Blanche Moss of New Iberia, Sarah Collette and husband, Joseph, of New Iberia, Lou Ella Courville and husband, Brannon, of Catahoula, Anna "Penny" Boudreaux and husband, Herman, of St. Martinville, and Regina Burke and husband, A.C. "Collin,of St. Martinville; her godmother, Adella Cimino of Port Arthur, TX; and her godchild, Donald Latiolais of Breaux Bridge.
She is preceded in death by her parents Hiram and Virginia Lasseigne Tabor; her step father, Delarue "Doc" Guidry; her brother, Raymond Tabor; and three sisters, Melba Henley, Rita Talley, and Geraldine Girouard.
Pallbearers will be Donald Latiolais, David Smith, Connor Thibodeaux, Christopher Babin and Larry Renard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Preston Boudreaux, Collin Smith, and Nolan Latiolais.
