Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 5, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Mary "Michelle" Abraham, 43, who passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at Ochsner Foundation in New Orleans.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:30 am until time of service on Monday.
Reverend Ricky Duffy and Reverend Robert Abraham will officiate at the Funeral Service.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Mary, better known as Michelle, was born in Lafayette, LA to the late Reverend F.J. Abraham, Sr. and Brenda Shelvin Abraham. She was a great daughter, sister, nanny, travel agent, and friend. Michelle was an avid collector of name brand watches and purses, if it was fake, she didn't want it. She spent most of her time reading, going to church and taking care of her great nieces and nephews. Michelle will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, most especially by her great nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her mother, Brenda Abraham of Breaux Bridge; sisters, Roxanne Young and husband Charles of Breaux Bridge, Renee Simon and husband Patrick of Lafayette, Marina Abraham of Lafayette, and Latoya Abraham of Lafayette; brothers, Freddie Abraham, Jr. and wife Audrey of Breaux Bridge, and Lamont Abraham, Sr. and wife Claudene of Breaux Bridge; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Freddy J. Abraham, Sr.; and her aunt, Emelda Allen.
Pallbearers will be Freddie J. Abraham III, Brandon Abraham, Corey Abraham, Drake Simon, John F. Hawthorne, Lamont Abraham Jr., Lamar Abraham, and Terry Abraham Sr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Freddie Abraham Jr., Patrick Simon, Charles Young, Wilbert Hebert, Kelly Ray Lewis, and Anthony Abraham.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the doctors and staff on the 6th and 8th floors of Ochsner's Hospital - Jefferson Campus in New Orleans, and the doctors and staff at St. Martin Hospital. A special thanks to Pellerin Funeral Home and all who came out and comforted us in our time of need.
