New Iberia - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 20, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Mary Alice Crochet, 86, who passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, in New Iberia.
Entombment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.
Rev. Brian Harrington will officiate.
A resident of Coteau, Ms. Crochet was born on June 26, 1934 in Loreauville to the late Adonis and Mae Blanchard Crochet. She is a retired accountant having worked for Davis Delcambre Motors, Southwest Motors, and Dependable Dodge, and was also the owner of the Just Because Bookstore in Lafayette. Ms. Crochet enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her two sisters, Stephanie (E.J.) Touchet of Loreauville, and Gertrude (Paul) Romero of New Iberia; four brothers, Tilden John Crochet of New Iberia, Paul Garland Crochet of New Iberia, Russell Crochet of New Iberia, and Malcolm James (Pamela) Crochet of New Iberia; sister-in-law, Juanita Vollmer Crochet of Abbeville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rosie Mae Crochet and abrother, Joseph Allen Crochet.
Pallbearers will be David Crochet, Jonathan Romero, Robert Touchet, Chad Touchet, Paul Crochet, and J.C. Romero.
