Coteau - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau for Mary Alice LeBlanc Arceneaux, 71, who passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at her home.
A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia on Friday from11:00 am until 9:30 pm, and will continue on Saturday at 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.
A rosary, led by Lucy Hebert, will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Friday.
Rev. Brian Harrington will be the Celebrant.
Megan Angelle and Kaitlyn Seaux will read Holy Scripture, and Jace Arceneaux and Alexis Seaux will be gift bearers.
Entombment will follow in the church cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Coteau, Mary Alice LeBlanc Arceneaux was born on August 31, 1946 to the late Rickle and Paula Gary LeBlanc. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, where she volunteered. Mary was a simple lady who enjoyed sewing, and she lived her life for her children, grandchildren, and church. She will be deeply missed.
Mrs. Arceneaux is survived by sons, Richard LeBlanc and wife Kim of Coteau, and Troy Arceneaux and wife Lauren of New Iberia; daughter, Rachael Seaux and husband Denny of Coteau; step-son, Rickey Arceneaux of Rayne; step-daughters, Linda Romero of Abbeville, Debbie Blaize and husband Ozzie of Abbeville, Bonnie Vincent and husband Keith of Erath, Twiggie D'Augereau and husband Malcolm of Abbeville, and Christine Labit and husband Mike of Abbeville; brother, Perry LeBlanc; sisters, Olga Bourque and husband A.J.,Charlene Menard and husband Robert, and Priscilla LeBlanc; grandchildren, Kolby LeBlanc, Brock LeBlanc, Kaitlyn Seaux, Alexis Seaux, Brice Arceneaux, Jace Arceneaux, and Megan Angelle; 13 step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orice Arceneaux.
Pallbearers will be Richard LeBlanc, Troy Arceneaux, Kolby LeBlanc, Brock LeBlanc, Brice Arceneaux, and Denny Seaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jace Arceneaux, Gus Angelle, Evan Angelle, Kevin LeBlanc, Richard Arceneaux, Rickey Arceneaux, and A.J. Bourque.
