Mary Guidry Bartell

Cecilia - Mary Guidry Bartell, 87, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center. Mary taught school in the Lafayette Parish School System for 40 years as an elementary teacher. She enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking, and walking. Mary's love for teaching was not just a job, but something she loved doing. She is survived by her son, John Bartell and wife Lori of Alpharetta, GA; her brother, A.J. Guidry of Breaux Bridge; her sister, Lee Anna Serrette of Breaux Bridge; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert John Bartell; a son, Burton Bartell; and her parents, Davous and Lidia LeBlanc Guidry.
