Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Mary Lois Blanchard, 80, who passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Amelia Manor Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 9:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Blanchard enjoyed sewing, talking on the phone, and she especially cherished moments spent with family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband, Shirby Blanchard of Breaux Bridge; daughters, Sindy Colar and husband Carroll, and Debra Guidry and husband Ricky, all of Breaux Bridge; son, Chad Blanchard and wife Ali of Magnolia, TX; brothers, Steve Huval and wife Alta of Arnaudville and Paul Huval and wife Theresa of Duson; sister, Velma Poirier of Breaux Bridge; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clodise and Anita Guidry Huval; brothers, Roland Huval and Ernest Huval; and sisters, Georgie Delahoussaye, Lula Delahoussaye, and Mabel Boyer. Pallbearers will be Chad Blanchard, Taylor Colar, Gerald "T-Goo" Delahoussaye, Carroll Colar, Ty Colar, and Ricky Guidry.
