VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, September 19, 2009, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Mary Lucy Gordon Borel, 62, who passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at her residence in Breaux Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Fr. Fallon will conduct the services. Lucy loved going to church and regularly attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She enjoyed relaxing in her free time and visiting with family and friends. Survivors include her husband, John Joseph Borel of Breaux Bridge; her son, Donald Borel of Breaux Bridge; her daughter, Lisa Borel of Cecilia; her daughter in law, Dorothy Borel of Breaux Bridge; her brother, Gerald Gordon of Breaux Bridge; her sisters, Borita Davis of Arnaudville, Gustavia Savoie and her husband, Murphy of Arnaudville, Beulah Williams and her husband, Rene' of Breaux Bridge, Irma Stewart and her husband, Bill of Bossier City, Wilda Singleton and her husband, Hubert of Breaux Bridge, Nellie Jones and her husband, Clarence of Breaux Bridge, Elizabeth Ledet of Opelousas and Ezola Williams and her husband, Robert of Cecilia; her uncles, Percy Semere of Breaux Bridge and Alton Semere of Houston, TX; her step granddaughters, Adrianna Joseph, Cathy Sylvester and Erick Sylvester; and her step grandsons, Danny Sylvester, David Sylvester and Joseph Sylvester. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilda and Horace Gordon, Sr.; her son, Johnny Borel; her brothers, Raymond, Rogers, Horace, Albert and Tony Gordon; and her sister, Anna Mae Cormier. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2009. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
