Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 8, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Mary Nell L. Champagne, 75. ?Mary Nell went to meet her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at her residence.
Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Rev Edward Degeyter will conduct the services. Eulogists will be her granddaughter, Taylor Lauren Romero and Cara Wolfe. ?Lectors will be Bonnie Boudreaux and Taylor Lauren Romero. ?Gift bearers will be Patsy LeBlanc, Faye LeBlanc and Vickie Hebert.
Lovingly known as Mamie, Aunt Mimmie and Taunte Nell she will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched in one way or another.
Survivors include her daughter Sandra Romero and her husband, Larry of St. Martinville; her granddaughter, Taylor Lauren Romero of New Orleans; her brothers, Norman, Richard, Clayton, Wade, Gene Allen and Ray Paul Landry all of Breaux Bridge; her sisters, Patricia LeBlanc and her husband, Raymond, Vicky Hebert, and Fabian LeBlanc all of Breaux Bridge, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl J. Champagne; her parents, Wade and Agnes Angelle Landry, her brother, Ira Landry; her infant sister, Marie Landry and her brother-in-law, Tanny Hebert.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 am, Thursday, June 7, 2007 until 10:00 pm and continue at 8:00 am, Friday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be her brothers, Norman, Richard, Clayton, Wade, Gene Allen and Ray Paul Landry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky LeBlanc, Michael Landry, Ronnie Landry and Larry Romero.
