Mary Alice Champagne

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 31, 2005, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Mary Alice Champagne, 67, who died Saturday, October 29, 2005 at her residence. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mrs. Champagne was a member of the St. Martin Parish School Board Association and the Orphan Train Rider Association.. Survivors include her husband, Wilfred Champagne of St. Martinville; her son, Leonard Champagne of Parks; her daughter, Leona Perez of St. Martinville; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Leon Champagne; her grandchild, Roberto Perez; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Belaire; her sisters, Shirley Courville and Olive Latiolais; her brother, Ames Belaire, Sr.; and her son-in-law, Francisco Perez. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Sunday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Monday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
