Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Mary L. Davis, 85, who passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends, playing cards, Bingo, and cooking. She loved spending time with family and friends and gathering with family for the holidays. She is survived by her daughters, Janice Allen and husband Sidney, and Shirletta Blanchard and husband Lawrence; her son, Clifton Davis, Jr. and wife Margaret; 8 grandchildren, Ray Paul Goodie, Jean Goodie, Jr., Jonathan Goodie, Christina Doucette, Winnifer Kinsey, Brian Blanchard, Ashley Davis, and Alexis Davis; 11 great grandchildren; and Ricky Gary, who was like a son to her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Davis, Sr.; her parents, Albert and Josephine Lee Lambert; 8 brothers, Stanley and Nicholas Simon, Henry, Robert, Ramsey, Joseph, Wilbert, Sr., and Clarence Lambert; and her sisters, Bernice Jeanlouis, Felonise Sinegal, Georgiana Ledet, and Della Charles. Pallbearers will be Ray Paul Goodie, Jean Goodie Jr., Brian Blanchard, Dravion Blanchard, Weylin Goodie, Brandon Goodie, Jaylen Goodie, and Ricky Gary.
