Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Mary Elaine Edmond, 80, who passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017, at University Hospital & Clinics. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Wednesday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Wednesday. Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Stacy Noel-Campbell. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Mary enjoyed gardening, attending trail rides, listening to Zydeco, dancing, and cooking for family and friends. She was very proud of her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly, along with her faith, energy, and strength. She is survived by her spouse, Jeffery Williams; daughters, Mary Margaret Noel, Peggy James (Christopher), Lisa Marie Smith and Christine Edmond (Telly); sons, Shelton Williams (Barbara Broussard), Clinton Edmond, Patrick Williams, Edward Edmond, Jeffery Edmond and Brian Edmond; sister, Autumise Dugas; 25 grandchildren; and 34 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alcid and Forenza Batiste Edmond; son, Howard Edmond; grandchild, Miguel Edmond; brothers, Felton Edmond, Antoine Edmond, Byron Edmond and Wilbert Edmond; and sisters, Enola Ledet, Eula Mae Logan and Margaret Lee. Pallbearers will be Robert Edmond Jr., Michael Barber Jr., Dianial Lee, Ashley Edmond, Edward Edmond, Artegus Smith, Arthur Edmond, and Telly Gordon.
