Lydia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 7, 2022 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church for Mary Ellen LaBiche, 86, who passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022.
Entombment will follow in the St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville.
Msgr. Keith DeRouen will be the Celebrant.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home and will continue on Friday from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.
A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Thursday.
A native of Weeks Island, Mrs. LaBiche was born on March 12, 1936 to the late Andrew Guidry, Sr. and Mary Ellen Champagne Guidry. She was a retired nurse who always helped everyone. Mrs. LaBiche loved spending time with all of family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Jean Ellen Bergeron (Andrew), Mary Virginia Lopez (Scott), Tracy Anne Wiley (Byron), Bridget Catherine LeJeune (Timothy), Faith Margaret Wiley (Blaine), Jean Whitney LaBiche, Jr. (Beth), Gerard Patrick LaBiche (Mary), Roy Joseph LaBiche (Regina) and Joey Drew LaBiche, Sr.; sister Catherine Margaret Guidry Bayard (Wilson); sisters-in-law Dolly Guidry and Theresa LaBiche Collins.
Her precious grandchildren, Bryan Bergeron (Lauren), Jeremy LaBiche (Emily), Quentin LaBiche (Daisy). Brandon LaBiche (Erin), Joshua LaBiche (Amanda), Matthew Lopez (Kourtni), Marcus Lopez (Aimee), Ryan Sigur (Karleigh), Tyler Sigur (Jordan), Timothy Wiley, Stephen Wiley (Clarissa), Benjamin Wiley, Sloane LaBiche, Joey LaBiche, Jr. (Victoria), Whitney Michael LaBiche (Allison), Anna Bergeron Melancon (Cory), Jade LaBiche Cox (Jeff), Ashley Wiley (Pete Davis), Morgan Landry, Aubry Wiley (Laci), Aubry LeJeune, Evan LeJeune (Ellen) and Ashton Wiley; great grandchildren, Brielle Whitney Bergeron, Mia Michelle Bergeron, Beckett Joseph Melancon, Audrey Kate LaBiche, Jude Thomas LaBiche, Leighton Elyse LaBiche, Lucy Kate LaBiche, Finley Lucille Cox, Whitney Claire Cox, Noah Jude LaBiche, Hudson Philip Lopez, Thomas Matthew Lopez, Celia Jane Lopez, Emily Rose Davis, Talyn Christina Cooper, Kadyn James Cooper, Archer Michael Wiley, Foster Jean Sigur, Bradford James Sigur, Arthur Joseph Sigur, Evelyn Kaye Sigur, Annelise Claire Sigur, Boone Scott Sigur, Jaylee Alyssa Gaspard, Carter James Landry, Caroline Grace Landry, Georgia Rae LeJeune, Penelope Grace Jefferyes, Oliver Whitney Gordon Wiley, Caleb John LaBiche, Andrew Peter LaBiche, Adelyn Cheri LaBiche, Emerlyn Claire LaBiche, Whitney Michael LaBiche, Jr., Daniel Wesley LaBiche, John David LaBiche and one due to arrive in February; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Jean Whitney LaBiche, Sr, and her brother, Andrew Guidry, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Whitney LaBiche, Patrick LaBiche, Roy LaBiche, Bridget LeJeune, Joey Drew LaBiche, Sr., Bryan Bergeron, Joshua LaBiche and Matthew Lopez.
Honorary pallbearers are all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to Maison Teche Nursing Home, Synergy Care, Inc., Iberia Medical Center, and Hospice of Acadiana, especially Mallory Guillotte who was an Angel from God! A heartfelt thank you to all of Mom’s healthcare givers who helped her with all of her needs. Mom would say “Thank You, I Love You and God Bless You.”
