Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 7, 2009, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Mary Rose Degeyter Faccion, 63, who passed away on Monday, September 28, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Father Ed Degeyter will officiate at the service along with Fr. James Liprie serving as Con-Celebrant.
Mary was a parishioner of the St. Bernard Catholic Church where she was a long-time member of the St. Bernard Adult Choir, Hospitality Ministry, and the Chapel of Perpetual Adoration. She was always willing and made herself available to assist with any church project or function, most especially with the preparation of the 3rd Sunday Coffee. Mary loved singing, dancing, bicycling, when she was younger, visiting the library, fishing, playing golf, walking and working with her sister, Betty, in the garden, taking care the vegetables. She will long be remembered for her gentle spirit, a smile that came from deep within her spiritual soul, and her thoughtfulness, that brought joy to everyone. Mary always wanted to help those who were seeking a career in the field of medicine, and that is why she so willingly donated her body to science.
A special and loving note from your choir family, We will miss you greatly, but you are now in the Choir of Heavenly Angels.
