New Iberia - Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, LA 70560, 337.365.3331 for Mary Alice Bourda Green, 71 who died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in Broussard. Born on August 26, 1939 in St. Martinville, Ms. Green was a member of the Jehovahs Witnesses, and was devoted to her family and ministry. She will be deeply missed. Survivors include daughters, Connie Williams and husband Phillip of Cade, Janelle Derouen and husband Billy of New Iberia, Sandra Simon and husband Charles of Katy, Texas, Rosalind Simms and husband Timothy of New Iberia, Wanda Celestin and husband Joel of Broussard, Carrissa Green of Newport News, Virginia; sons, Sterling Green, Jr. of Marksville, David Green and wife Rosalind of Scott; brother, Willie Bourda, Jr. and wife Gloria of Atlanta, Georgia, Joseph Bourda and wife Margaret of Missouri City, Texas; sister, Hazel Bailey and husband John of Pasadena, California; her former husband, Sterling Green, Sr.; 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Bourda, Sr., and Georgiana Williams Bourda; son, Sherwin Lee Green; an infant daughter, Judy; and a brother, Clifton Bourda. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 7:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia .
