Mary Ruth Zeringue Guidry

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, March 17, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Mary Ruth Zeringue Guidry, 79, who passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Fr. Gary Schexnayder will officiate at the funeral Mass. Mrs. Guidry loved being surrounded by people, especially her family and friends. ?She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include three sons, Richard Joseph Guidry and his wife, Audrey, of Breaux Bridge, Leroy Guidry and his wife, Anna, of Henderson, and Kenneth Paul Guidry, of Cecilia; two daughters, Charlotte G. Austin and her husband, Carl, of Cecilia, and Sharon G. Urrutia and her husband, Miguel, of Houston, TX; one sister, Janet H. Guillot, of Lafayette; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Zaul Guidry; a daughter, Mary Ruth Guidry; her parents, Emile and Lillian Boudreaux Zeringue; and a brother, Louis J. Zeringue. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until time 10:00 p.m. on Sunday and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
