Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Mary Claire Jones, 88, who passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday, and continue on Tuesday at 7:00 am until 10:00 am. Rev. Ugochukwu Jerome Cletus SSJ will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reader will be Francine L. Gary. Mary was an honored member of the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as the “Family Historian” and for her kindness and dedication to her church and love for her God. She is survived by her two sons, Leroy (Bernadine ) Jones and Harry (Patricia Ann) Jones, all of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, Russell Jean Batiste of Breaux Bridge and Charles Jean Batiste of Kansas; and two sisters, Otelia LeBlanc and Claudell Noel, both of Breaux Bridge. She was preceded in death by her mother, Clothilde Jones; son, Whitney Paul Jones; two brothers, James Lewis and Francis Lynn Lewis; and two sisters, Margaret Huddleston and Florine Williams. Pallbearers will be Joseph Wade LeBlanc, Jr., Aaron Noel, Divine Alexander, Calvin Castille, Dominc Jones and Joshua Jones.
