Mary Ruth Landry

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, June 19, 2009, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Cecilia, for Mary Ruth Tauzin Landry, 70, who passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Lafayette.. ; Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Fr. Keith Landry, will conduct the services. Mrs. Landry enjoyed shopping with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 54 years, Alton, who loved her unconditional. She will be remembered for her kindness, laughter and the love she gave her family and to the employees of her husbands company. Survivors include her husband, Alton Landry of Cecilia; her daughter, Linda Hollier of Abbeville; her brother, Melvin Tauzin of Lafayette; and her sisters, Betty Alberez of Baker, Judy Poirier and Rita Tauzin both of St. Martinville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Freddy and Gladys Hebert Tauzin and her brothers, Gerald and Leroy Tauzin. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:30 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2009, until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Dan Journet, Randy Borel, David Girourd, Ulysses Charles, Eazly Babineaux and George Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Davis, Kenneth Girourd, Rodney Davis, Thomas Williams, Alton Landry, Tim Bishop, Harold Theriot, Angelique Bishop, Dawn Theriot, Maurice Olivier, LeRoy Poirier, Judy Poirier, Betty Alberez, Rita Tauzin and Melvin Tauzin. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
