St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Mary Helen Ledet, 76, who passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at her residence.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday.
A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 am on Saturday.
Rev. Michael Sucharski, SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Khameron Lee and Taylor Ledet. Obituary will be read by Alisha Hypolite. Gift bearers will be Armoni Ledet, Skyler Ledet, and Candice Lee.
Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Mrs. Ledet enjoyed babysitting and cherished moments spent with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Lewis Ledet of St. Martinville, Randy Ledet of St. Martinville, Kevin Ledet and wife Erica of St. Martinville, Keith Ledet of Pearland, TX; daughters, Daffney Ledet of St. Martinville and Charlotte Ledet of Loreauville; brothers, Carter Joseph of Cypress Island, Gerald Joseph and wife Mary of Cypress Island, Rufus Joseph, Jr. of Cypress Island; sisters, Marjorie Charles and husband Calvin of Cypress Island, Ella Joseph of Cypress Island; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister in law, Carmen Joseph of Cypress Island.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Ledet; father, Rufus Joseph, Sr.; mother, Yola Wiltz Joseph; sons, Ronald Ledet and Brent Ledet; daughter, Patricia Ledet; sisters, Vanessa Ledet and Laura Mae Drake; brothers, Harris Joseph and Harold Joseph.
Pallbearers will be Javon Lee, Kyler Ledet, Ronald Chevallier, Derek Chevallier, Gabriel Smith, and Tavian August.
Honorary pallbearers will be Abrian Ledet, Dylan Hamilton, Cornelius Perrio, Eric Willis, Lewis Ledet, Kevin Ledet, Keith Ledet, Carter Joseph, Gerald Joseph, Rufus Joseph Jr., and Calvin Charles Sr.
