VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, April 17, 2009, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Mary Gustavia Alexander Ledet, 79, who passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2009 at her residence. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Ledet was a fun-loving person who enjoyed telling jokes to make people laugh and smile and she always enjoyed having visitors at her home. She was an avid collector of teddy bears and baby dolls. Survivors include four brothers, Vincent Alexander, of Breaux Bridge, Nelson Wiltz (Willie Mae), of Breaux Bridge, John Alexander (Julia), of Houston, TX, and Dr. Livingston Alexander (Evelyn); and four sisters, Willa Mae Alexander of Lafayette, Janet Alexander, of Breaux Bridge, Fannie Alexander, of Breaux Bridge, and Mary Alexander Williams, of Lafayette; her cousins, Gloria Amos, Crystal Roberts and Latarya Alexander of Breaux Bridge, who provided love and care during her illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Alexander and Clothilde Castille; her husband, John Gilbert Ledet; an infant child; and two brothers, Robert and Chester Alexander. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home on Friday from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 8 a.m. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
