VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, May 18, 2009, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Mary Helen Noel. She departed this earth on the morning of May 14, 2009 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Ms. Helen was 74 years old. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lime Cemetery in Cecilia. Fr. Aaron Melancon, Pastor of St. Rose of Lima Church. Readers for the service will be Effy Noel and Courtney Taylor. Mary Helen Noel was born February 9, 1935 to Celina Alexander Noel and Elinus Noel. Ms. Helen was a lifelong resident of Cecilia, Louisiana. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Theresa Cudges of Cecilia, Louisiana and one son, Joseph Junior (Bernadine) Noel of Cecilia, Louisiana. Also two brothers, Wilbert (Ida Mae) Noel, Sr. of Houston, Texas and Percy Williams of Breaux Bridge; two sisters, Lucille (Joseph) Batiste of Houston, Texas and Marjorie James (Calvin of Lafayette, Louisiana; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her mother, Celina Noel; her father, Elinus Noel; her step-father, Clay Williams; one sister, Irene Williams; two brothers, Arthur Noel and Fred Williams; daughter-in-law, Eleanore Taylor Noel. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7 a.m Monday until 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Demetruis Noel, Jeremy Borel, Aca Noel, Joshua Noel, Chris Morris and Alex Livings. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Noel, Wilbert Noel Sr., Wilbert Noel, Jr. Percy Williams, Elinus Noel, Melvin Noel, Ricky Noel, Ron Batiste and David Batiste. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
