Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Mary Celestine Pradier, 53, who passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, TX.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Rev. James Fallon, SJ will conduct the services. Readers will be Naji Clay and Javona Sylvester.
Mary was a member of The Follower of Christ Deliverance Ministry in Beaumont, TX. In her free time she could be found cooking, swimming, and watching out for her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing with her dogs, visiting with her sisters, and spending time with friends and family. She volunteered for her church and often helped clean their facility.
Survivors include her husband, Murphy Pradier of Beaumont, TX; her son Jason J. Celestine (Anitra) of Breaux Bridge; her daughters, Sheila Simon (James) of Beaumont, TX, Jessica Renee` Bob (Keddrick) of Beaumont, TX, Mary Alice Williams of Beaumont, TX, Annette Sylvester of Lafayette; her step daughters, Minola Martin of Parks, and Destiny Darby of Youngsville; her brothers, Dennis Smith of Lafayette, Clarence Celestine of Crowley, Wilton Sylvester of Breaux Bridge, Curvis Alexander of Breaux Bridge, Wilbert Alexander of Breaux Bridge, and Brandon Alexander of Breaux Bridge; her sisters, Evelyn Celestine of Beaumont TX, Sandra Jean Batiste (Percy) of Breaux Bridge, Theresa Batiste (Alton) of Beaumont TX, Linda Dugas (Gerald) of Breaux Bridge, Lisa Sylvester of Breaux Bridge, and Dorothy Alexander of Breaux Bridge; her grandchildren Kiristy Babineaux, Jamion Simon, Jamineika Simon, Jamie Simon, Justice Celestine, and Roynavia Batiste; her godchild, Pamela Tee Cook; and her pet dogs, Missy and Manny.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norcey Celestine and Mary Alice Alexander; her son, Kendrick Williams; her sister, Helen Denise Alexander; her brother, Clifton Alexander; her maternal grandparents, Evelyn and Leonard Alexander; and her paternal grandparents, Clementine and Leonard Celestine.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Friday, April 23, 2010 and continue at 6:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
A rosary will be recited at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Celestine, Bryand Celestine, Wilbert Sylvester, Joseph Sylvester, Phillip Alexander, and Karmichael Alexander.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Simon, Adam Sylvester, Wilton Sylvester, Keddrick Bob, Nakia McZeal, Murphy Pradier, Jr., Jason Celestine, and Brandon Alexander.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
