Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm, on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Mary Verna Richard, 75, who passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am Monday, October 5, 2015 until 12:30 pm on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Monday. Rev. Keenan Brown will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. Mary loved spending time with her family, making puzzles, crocheting, bingo, and crossword puzzles. She is survived by her children, Peggy Robin and husband Luke, John Richard and wife Heather, and Annette Richard and husband Leonie Boudreaux; grandchildren, Paige Landry and spouse Timothy, Kristen Guidroz and spouse Chris, Keri Robin, John Richard, Jr. and spouse Cindy, Chase Richard, Emery Richard, Christopher Richard, Bryce Richard, Jennifer Trahan, Morgan Theriot, Danica Stelly, Johnathon Stelly and spouse Michelle, Carroll Stelly, Jr. and spouse Toni, Joshua Stelly and spouse Amanda, Quintin Stelly, Verna Stelly; 26 great-grandchildren; brother, Francis Carriere; sisters, Betty Richard and husband Roy, Rita Quebedeaux and husband Gerald, Theresa LeBlanc, and Shirley Richard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rene and Azema LaGrange Carriere; husband, John Larry Richard; daughter, Connie Ann Richard; sisters, Josephine Benoit and Mary Lou Guillory; brothers, DJ Carriere and Curley Carriere. Pallbearers will be John Richard, Chase Richard, Christopher Richard, Bryce Richard, Johnathon Stelly, Joshua Stelly, Tim Landry, and Francis Carriere.
