Cecilia- Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. , on Saturday, December 10, 2011 , at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Mary Virginia Richard, 62, who passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette . Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the funeral mass. Reading the scriptures will be Rhondale Barras and Brenda Rossyion. Gift bearers will be Mylen Ledet and Braylon Celestine. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family especially at special gatherings. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her sons, Joseph Derrick Richard, Joseph Wayne Richard and Gary Celestine; her daughters, Renee Celestine, Alisha Celestine and Marsha Richard; her sisters, Ethel Mary Lewis and Christiana Senegal ; 23 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Clothilde Richard; her brothers, Ervin, James, Rogers and Herbert Richard; her sister, Doris Barras. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Pallbearers will be Gary Celestine, Joseph Derrick Richard, Joseph Wayne Richard, Dahaven Celestine, Delaneous Celestine and Brandon Celestine. Honorary pallbearers will be Trae Richard, Lucas Sam, Devin Thomas, Willie Richard, Weston Richard and Michael Richard. Pellerin Funeral Homeof Ceciliais in charge of arrangements.
