St. Martinville- A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 27, 2022 at St. Martinville Greater First Apostolic Church for Mary Ann Roberts, 70, who passed away at her home.

A visitation will take place at The Greater First Apostolic Church in St. Martinville on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

Pastor Edwin Chachere will officiate at the funeral service.

Interment will follow at a later date.

Mary Ann Roberts was born November 22, 1951 in Lafayette. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and going to church. "Sister Mary," as everyone called her, touched many of people that she encountered. She worked at Guidry's Catfish and St. Agnes Nursing Home for many years until she became ill. Sister Mary loved to listen to Gospel music, sitting outside on the porch, but her passion was her love for food. She will be missed, but never forgotten.

She is survived by daughter Miranda Roberts; son Joseph Steven Roberts; brothers, Hubert Singleton (Wilda) and Carroll Singleton; grandchildren, Dimitri LeBlanc, Tristen Roberts, Tiahnna Vallot and Trinity Gedward; and one great-grandchild, Ari'yah Vallot.

She is preceded in death by father, Joseph and Verley Mae Joe Singleton; brothers, Herbert and David Singleton.
