Mary Ann Savoy

Henderson - Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, on Monday, May 23, 2016, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Mary Ann Savoy, 79, who passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016, in Breaux Bridge. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm on Sunday, and continue on Monday at 7:00 am until 10:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday. Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson. Mary was a loving person. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren grow into adults with values that they can use throughout their lives. Mary enjoyed spending time with her friends playing cards around the table such as, Cadillac and Bourre'. She always waited for that special treat of sweets by her daughter and grand-daughter. Mary will be remembered as the "Sweet Lady" that had a heart of gold and love for all. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Boudreaux and husband Patrick of Henderson, Barbara "Bobbie" Dupuis and husband Norris of Henderson, Elizabeth "Liz" Savoy of Henderson; Grandchildren, Corey Boudreaux, Kacy Boudreaux, Jacob Boudreaux, Shannon Dupuis and Cherri Degeyter; Great-Grandchildren, Carmen Degeyter, Tagen Degeyter, Jaylin Calais, Jansson Boudreaux, Damien Broussard, Devin Broussard, Leigh Thibodeaux, Carter Dupuis and Olivia Kate Dupuis; great-great grandchild, Layla Grace Jacquneaux and her companion, Nolan Landry of Parks who provided tender loving care. She was preceded in death by father, Joseph Patin, mother, Doralis Patin, husband, John Cherry Savoy, son, Carey Charles Savoy, brothers, Aldes Patin, Halphen Patin, Leroy Patin, Yancy Patin and Alphe Patin; sisters, Germaine Wiltz Dupuis and Mary Alice Patin. Pallbearers will be Shannon Dupuis, Yancy Patin, Norris Dupuis, Wallace Patin, Larry Patin, Toby Degeyter.
