Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Mary Ann Thibodeaux, 57, who passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at The Carpenter House. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Wednesday. Rev. Ugochukwu Jerome Cletus SSJ will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Mary worked as a CNA for many years and loved taking care of her patients. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, exercising, and traveling; and she had a love for all animals. Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Clovis "Floyd" Sylvester, Jr.; daughters, Congetia Sylvester, Keshia Sylvester and Brittany Sylvester; sons, Clovis (Latonya) Sylvester, III, Jonathan Sylvester, Elton (Kimberly) Sylvester and Joshua Sylvester; brothers, John Skipper, Joseph (Emily) Thibodeaux and Ulysse Batiste; sisters, Gussie Taylor, Lorecia Henry and Yvonne (Francis) Thibodeaux Vallery; grandchildren, Shamar, Nya, Bailee, Braeden, Kenzee, Jamiree, Chloe, Tileigh, Chance, Chanci, Lakelsha, Kelsey, Trey, EJ, Sky, Riley and Chase; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Elton Thibodeaux and Mary Margaret Thibodeaux; sisters, Marie Nanette Thibodeaux and Sharon Skipper; brother, Alton "Doc" Thibodeaux; brothers-in-law, Henry Taylor and Moses Henry; and nephew, Damien Skipper. Pallbearers will be Clovis Sylvester, III, Jonathan Sylvester, Elton Sylvester, Joshua Sylvester, Blair Thibodeaux, and Justin Thibodeaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Clovis "Floyd" Sylvester, Jr., Trey Sylvester, Jairus Sylvester, Chris Thibodeaux, Kevin Amos, Shamar Dugas, Braeden Sylvester, and Andrew Thibodeaux.
