Like all of us she was not without flaws, but her greatest gift to us all was teaching us how to accept the soured fruit of this life with grace and converting the worst into works of beauty. She saw value in others when most had already given up on helping them shine. Her hobbies included seeking out rusted and dilapidated antiques and bringing them back to life, with of course the help of her most talented husband Clayus Thibodeaux. Caring for her family, children, and grandchildren, celebrating family and friends at every occasion, and maintaining family traditions as well as creating a few of her own that celebrated the gathering and communion of her family and friends were the things she valued most in life as well as the occasions she lived for. She was the glue that held our clan of Heberts together and she will be dearly missed.
Most of all she will be remembered as that open ear always ready to listen to your troubles, and warm heart always ready to comfort you when you failed. She was the one person who you could go to when you needed someone who would not judge you. She never let your failure or her own dismiss the good that still remained inside of us all. Her faith, love, and life are truly treasures in which we all have been blessed to know. Vive lespirit de Mary
