Mason "Mae-Mae" Cappiello

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 08, 2024, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for Mason "Mae - Mae" Cappiello, 28, who passed away on April 3, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge on Monday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. 

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Monday.

Terrance St. Julian and Tammy Boudreaux will officiate at the funeral service.

Mason was born on June 11, 1995, in Marrero, Louisiana. Mason was a man of many passions, each of which illuminated the corners of his rich soul. From the roar of motorcycles to the tranquility of fishing and hunting, he found peace in the great outdoors. A connoisseur of sweets, his love for carrot cake and sweet potato pie was unmatched. However, above all else, Mason cherished moments spent with his family and children. His dedication to his loved ones was unwavering, evident in the sparkle in his eye whenever they were near.

Professionally, Mason poured his heart into his work with unparalleled passion. His commitment shone brightly through his expertise as a licensed plumber. Like Superman, he approached each day with bravery and a sense of duty.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Mason will always remember him for his beautiful smile that could light up even the darkest room and his charming dimples that seemed to tell stories of their own.

Mason leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be cherished by his surviving family members and friends. Though he may no longer walk beside them, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were touched by his warmth and compassion.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Guidry Cappiello; parents, Mark Shannon and Michelle Gibson Cappiello; grandparents, Jimmy and Paula Cappiello; son, Jessie James Guidry; daughter, Gabrielle Alise Guidry; brothers, Michael Cappiello (Heather), Matthew Damico (Jodi), Chris Guidry Sr. (Shelly) and Webey Dugas, Jr. (Jessie); aunts, Kim Benoit (Dale) and Katie Trosclair; uncles, Charles Gibson and Francis Marx Gibson, II.; mother-in-law, Margaret Sedotal; cuddle wife, Jessica Huval; a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis Marx and Cecile Bertha Gibson; uncle, Kenneth James Trosclair; great-grandparents, Paul and Ione Hingle and Louis and Bernice Cappiello; fathers-in-law, Webey Dugas, Sr. and Clinton Sedotal; and his brother, Tucker Huval. 
 
The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone who contributed to his Go Fund Me account and that gave personal donations to Mason for his care, Katie Trosclair, and the staff of Our Lady of Lourdes hospital for their support while he was in the hospital.

Mason's legacy will live on in the memories of his loved ones and in the individuals who were the recipients of his gift of life through organ donation.
