Mathilde Lasseigne

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m..,Thursday, February 22, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Cecilia for Mathilde Lasseigne, 72, of Cecilia, who died Monday, February 19, 2007 at Meadowbrook Specialty Hospital in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Rev. Ralph Manecke, Sr. will conduct the funeral service. Mrs. Lasseigne enjoyed caring for her flowers. She was a member of Christ Gospel Church in Lafayette. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Lasseigne of Cecilia; one son, Sidney Lasseigne and his wife, Tina of Arnaudville; three daughters, Delores Degeyter and her husband, Wilton of Cecilia, Audrey Phillips and her husband, Dwain of Spring, TX, and Elizabeth Lasseigne of Henderson; her half-sister, Daisy Berard of Cecilia; seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosenberg and Melanie Angelle Cotrel; her brother, Addie Cotrel; her sister, Nursay Marks; and her grandson, Sean Zerangue. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:30 am until 10:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 and continue at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday until time of service. Pallbearers will be Sidney Lasseigne, Cory Angelle, Wilton Degeyter, Aaron Degeyter, Dwain Phillips and Andy Lasseigne. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
