Maureen Hulin Dugas

St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at  2:00 PM, Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Maureen Hulin Dugas, 91, who passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Thursday from  9:30 AM to  2:00 PM.

Fr. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the funeral service. Readers will be Sandra and Greg Dugas.

Interment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville.

Maureen Dugas was born on March 13, 1931, in St. Martinville, Louisiana. A faithful and devout Catholic, Maureen was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks, where she taught Catechism for many years and was a member of the church choir and Ladies Altar Society.  She was also a member of the St. Martin Parish Ladies Home Demonstration club. Maureen loved to cook for her family and as a pastime, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling, attending plays and musical performances, and occasional trips to the casinos.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Grady Dugas; sons, Greg (Sandra) Dugas, Kim Dugas, Matt Dugas, and Scott Dugas; daughter, Kathy Dugas; sisters, Delores Laviolette and Anna Mae Gauthier; grandchildren, Jamie Bulliard, Dylan Dugas, Taylor D. Munn, and Jordan Monfort; and three great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sosthane and Edna Romero Hulin; brothers, Carvis Hulin and Linton Hulin; and sisters, Edora Delahoussaye and Annabelle Rivet.

Pallbearers will be Gabe Bulliard, Maison Bulliard, Daniel Munn, Dylan Dugas, Jamie Bulliard, and Scott Dugas.
