Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge for Maurell "Coe" Champagne, 88, who died Sunday, September 3, 2006 at Amelia Manor Nursing Home in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery #2 in Breaux Bridge. ; ; ; ; ; Mr. Champagne was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was survived by his sons, Ronald Champagne and his wife, Elaine of Breaux Bridge and Merrill Champagne of Breaux Bridge; his brothers, J.B. Champagne and Francis Champagne both of Brookeland, TX; and his three grandchildren, Dana Guidry and Tricia Robin both of Breaux Bridge and Brian Champagne of Spring, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Louise Coles Champagne; his father, Jean Baptist Champagne; his mother, Angelique Romero Champagne; three brothers, Maurice, Andrew and Antoine Champagne; two sisters, Felicia Tauzin and Mathilda Breaux; and a grandson, Craig Champagne. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home from 9:00 am till 10:00 pm on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 7:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Pellerin Funeral Homes of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
