Maurice Landry

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11 :00 a.m., on Friday, July 23, 2010, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Maurice Joseph Landry, 87, who passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010 at New Iberia Manor North Nursing Home. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mr. Landry was the owner of Landrys Grocery and Dry Cleaners in St. Martinville for over 50 years. In retirement he enjoyed watching CNN News and loved tending to his garden. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife, Emma Guigneaux Landry, of St. Martinville; two sons, Harvey Landry and his wife, Yvonne, of Dallas , TX , and Glenny Landry and his wife, Connie, of Michigan ; one daughter, Sandra Semien and her husband, Donald, of Lake Charles ; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Regina Judice Landry; a son, Ronald Landry; three brothers, two sisters, and a nephew, Barry Landry. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Church from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. , with a recitation of the Rosary at 9 a .m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be Wesley Wiltz, Alvin Guigneaux, Jr., Shane Lopez, Steven Simien, Jason Derouen, and David Miller. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ryan Derouen, Nathan Haack, Nathan Lopez, and Ross Olivier. Pellerin Funeral Home, 112 New Market St. , St. Martinville , LA 70582 , is in charge of arrangements.
