Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, May 11, 2018, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Mayo Felix, 87, who passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Friday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Friday. Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. The reader will be Cheryl Semere. Gift bearers will be Stella Davis and Darius Washington. Mayo was born in Carencro, LA to the late Luke and Mary Woods Felix. He was a share cropper and a faithful parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Mayo loved spending time with his family, taking care of his yard, fishing, and listening to Muddy Waters Blues. He was a proud but humble man who always made sure he was dressed nicely. Mayo will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Beatrice Davis Felix; daughters, Louella Felix Semere and husband Henry, and Mildred Felix LeBlanc and husband McKinley; grandchildren, Grayland Semere and spouse Cheryl, Brandon LeBlanc and spouse Desiree, Ryan Leopold, Natalie Robinson and spouse Corneilus, Alana LeBlanc, Cody Leopold and spouse Skylar, and Tyler Johnson; and great grandchildren, Darius Washington, Cody "CJ" Leopold, Jr., Aria Hill, Cameron Robinson, Dylan Leopold, Genisis LeBlanc, Elijah Leopold, Kennedy George, and Kameron Martel. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Prunella Felix Johnson; brothers, Oneal, Lucien, Luke, Jr., and Shirley Felix; and sisters, Eunice Felix, Lovinia Arceneaux, and Mabel Broussard. Pallbearers will be Grayland Semere, Brandon LeBlanc, Cody Leopold, Tyler Johnson, Marcus Davis, and Murphy Goodman. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Semere, McKinley LeBlanc, Corneilus Robinson, Gilbert Davis, Wilton Davis, Derrick Davis, Scottie Davis, Andrew Broussard, Stanley Mitchell Broussard, and Junius Felix.
