Parks - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at St. Louis Chapel in Parks, for Mazel Robertson Elow, 82, who passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at St. Martinville Rehab & Nursing Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Louis Chapel from 8 am until 9:45 am on Saturday.Fr. Mallet will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Pamela Gage and Tameka Phillips. The Responsorial Psalm will be read by Anastasia Mackey. Gift Bearers will be Tazielwell Skates, IV and Ashley Alfaro. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mrs. Elow was a parishioner of St. Louis Chapel in Parks and a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, reading and gardening. Each year she looked forward to entering the Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes in hopes of winning. She is survived by her brothers, Kaiser (Eva) Robertson, Jr. of Beaumont, TX, and Presley (Joyce) Robertson of Huffman, TX; her sisters, Verona Robertson of Parks, Mae Audrey (Harry) Warner of Kingman, AZ, Mabel Simon of Beaumont, TX, Pearl (Paul) Payne of Long Beach, CA, and Delores (Nathaniel) Freeman of Hampton, VA; two grandchildren, Pamela Gage and Angela G. Jones; and two great grandchildren, Raven and Jaden Jones, all of Beaumont, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Elow; a daughter, Linda Elow Gage; her parents, Kaiser Robertson, Sr. and Rose Savoy Robertson; two sisters, Savannah Laveck and Prenella Thibodeaux; and an infant sister and brother, Emily and Adam Robertson. Pallbearers will be Donald Simon, Tazielwell Scates, III, Bobby Artmore, Jr., Eric Robertson, Louis Mackey, and Christopher Robertson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kaiser Robertson, Presley Robertson, Harry Warner, Nathaniel Freeman, Paul Payne, and Ernie Bolin. Pellerin Funeral Home (337.332.2111), is in charge of arrangements.
