Melba Caffery

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Melba 'Boo Boo' Hebert Caffery, 62, who passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Fr. Donald Pousson will officiate at the funeral service. Melba was a very dedicated mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a wonderful cook and loved to bake for her family and friends. Melbas most precious moments were those spent with her grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Farrah Bulliard and Wendy Dore and her husband, Brian, all of St. Martinville; three sisters, Janice Bourque of Breaux Bridge, Lilly Mae Benoit of Lafayette, and Loretta T. Calais and husband, Bobby, of Cecilia; one brother, Kennon Hebert and wife, Vickie of St. Martinville; three grandchildren, Jacob Dore, Hunter Dore, and Carter Bulliard; and her godchildren, Robert 'T-Boy' Calais and Lindsey Hebert. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Mathilda H. Hebert; four brothers, Gerald Taylor, Bobby Hebert, Martin Hebert, Jr. and Larry Hebert; five sisters, Gloria Melancon, Zita Berard, Hazel Melancon, Mary Alice Guidry, and Melba Thomassee; and one niece, Shannon Hebert Daigle. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. by Fr. Ed Degeyter.
