Melba Theriot

Cecilia - Mass will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Melba Rose Theriot , 72, who passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at her residence in Breaux Bridge. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 10:00 am on Friday, July 6, 2012 until 10:00 am on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Donald Pousson will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Melissa Prejean and Sharron Delahoussaye. Serving as gift bearers are Monica Theriot, Cathy Speyrer and Mildred Courville. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Melba enjoyed going to the pond to check her crawfish traps. She also enjoyed going to the Casino. Melba loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed Easter Sunday when all her family and friends would gather together. She is survived by her son, Shane (Monica) Theriot of Breaux Bridge: her daughters, Peggy T. Knott of Breaux Bridge and Pamela (Steven) Prejean of Breaux Bridge; her grandchildren, Aaron Nicholas (Sharon Delahoussaye) Knott, Jeremy Cy (Melissa) Prejean, Joshua "Skip" Prejean and, Hunter Ryne Theriot; her great-grandchildren, Bentley Jude Prejean and Sebastian Paul Knott She is preceded in death by her parents, Romo and Rosa Knott Quebedeaux; her husband, Francis "Bouye" Theriot; her brothers, Edward Quebedeaux, Harry Quebedeaux and Clay Quebedeaux; and her sisters, Lucille Meche, Easton Stelly and Alma Speyrer. Pallbearers will be Shane Theriot, Hunter Theriot, Aaron Nicholas Knott, Jeremy Prejean, Troy Theriot and Clint Theriot. Honorary pallbearers will be John Allen Cormier, Joshua "Skip" Prejean, Steven Prejean, Joseph Vin Theriot, Bentley Jude Prejean, Sebastian Paul Knott and Craig Latiolais.
