Melvin Joseph Dupuis

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 26, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Melvin Joseph Dupuis, 82, who died Monday, April 23, 2007, at his residence in Nina. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery ?in Cecilia. Melvin enjoyed gardening and going to his camp. He was a member of the Nina Red Birds. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, ?Marcella Cormier Dupuis of Nina; his sons, Dwight Dupuis and his wife, Lisa of Parks and Howard Dupuis of Baton Rouge; his daughters, Gail Berard and her husband, Kale of Breaux Bridge, Elizabeth Landry of Cecilia, and Cynthia Usie and her husband, Louis of Cecilia; his grandchildren, Brittany Berard, Bryken Berard, Brian Landry, Danielle Landry, Jillian Landry, Maura Collette, Colby Patin, Brody Calais, Ethan Dupuis, and Krystal Usie; and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lidney Trahan Dupuis; his brother, Howard Dupuis; his son-in-law, Leroy Landry; and his grandson, Aaron Blake Calais. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 and continue at 7:00 a.m. Thursday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
