Parks - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at St. Louis Chapel in Parks, for Melvin Solari, 78, who passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2009 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Father Ed Degetyer will officiate at the funeral Mass. Survivors include his wife, Linsay Valsin Solari, of Parks; four sons, Michael Solari and his wife, Jessica, of Cecilia, Francis Solari and his fiancee, Lisha Sonnier, Patrick Solari, and Ronald Solari and his wife, Lori, all of Parks; one daughter, Rosetta Solari Dugas, of Parks; a daughter-in-law, Celene Deshotel Solari, of Lafayette; one sister, Anna Mae Decuir, of Beaumont, TX; 7 grandchildren, Andrea Dugas, Shannon Wiltz, Paige Solari, Brelyn Solari, Bryson Solari, Diesel Solari, and Micah Solari; and 2 great grandchildren, Shawn Wiltz and Janay Wiltz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lacassine and Amelia Solari; his biological parents, Victor Williams and Mary Jefferson; two brothers, John and Lawrence Williams; and two sisters, Lillian Wiltz and Mildred Narcisse. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
