Merella Duplechein Stelly

Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Merella Duplechein Stelly, 68, who died Saturday, July 22, 2006 at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville. Entombment will be in St. John Francis Regis Mausoleum in Arnaudville. Mrs. Stelly was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles and fishing. She loved getting together for family gatherings. Survivors include her parents, Freddie and Noelie Hollier Duplechein of Arnaudville; three sons, Dr. Stuart Stelly and his wife, Dr. Julie Amberg of York, PA, Perry Stelly and his wife, Kelly of Breaux Bridge, and Dale Stelly and his wife, Jackie of Walker, LA; two daughters, Trixie Scarbrough and her husband, Steve of St. Gabriel, LA, and Karla Schwartz and her husband, Steve of Prairieville, LA; ten grandchildren, Christopher Stelly, Allison Stelly, Joel Scarbrough, Zack Stelly, Micheaud Stelly, Matthew Stelly, Jake Stelly, Samuel Schwartz, Jackson Schwartz, and Daniel Stelly; and one great grandchild, Jada Stelly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Stelly; and her brother, Willis Duplechein. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 12 Noon - 10:00 p.m. on Monday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening. Pallbearers will be Perry Stelly, Dr. Stuart Stelly, Dale Stelly, Steve Scarbrough, Steve Schwartz, and Joel Scarbrough. Honorary pallbearer will be Zachary Stelly. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
