Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Michael Begnaud, 56, who passed away on Monday, August 22, 2011, at his residence. Fr. Donald Pousson will officiate at the funeral Mass. Gift Bearers will be Luke Begnaud and Corie Begnaud. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Michael was known to be a 'happy-go-lucky' person who loved life and loved people. He enjoyed spending time hanging out with his friends, sitting on his front porch, and riding around. Survivors include his brother, Ricky Begnaud and his wife, Sue; two nephews, Codey Begnaud and Todd Begnaud and his wife, Erica; three great nephews, Cole Begnaud, Luke Begnaud, and Jadan Begnaud; and two great nieces, Corie Begnaud and Skylee Begnaud. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Irene Danos Begnaud; a nephew, Corey Begnaud; and a niece, Cassie Guidry Begnaud. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be John Cormier, Mark Duphrain, Cole Begnaud, Codey Begnaud, Ronnie Thibodeaux, and Tyson Theriot. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
