St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 pm, on Monday, September 10, 2012, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in Saint Martinville, for Michael M. Boggs , 66, who passed away on Friday, September 7, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday and continue at 8:00 am until 12:30 pm on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Sunday. MSGR Jefferson DeBlanc, Jr. VE, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point will officiate at the Funeral Ceremony. Music will be provided by Pat Melancon. Reading the scriptures will be Sharon Boggs and Belit B. Myers. Gift bearers will be Colleen Willis and Margaret Romero. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Saint Martinville. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Gary Boggs of St. Martinville, son, Clint (Lacie) Boggs of St. Martinville, daughter, Liza (John) Armao of Houston, TX, brothers, James "Jimmy" (Nedra) Boggs, Charles "Chuck" Boggs, William "Billy" (Sharon) Boggs, Francis "Tance" (Nona) Boggs Jr., Carl "Peter" (Brenda) Boggs, John Scott Boggs, Joseph "Jody" (Carla) Boggs, Patrick (Patty) Boggs, sisters, Colleen B. (Matt) Willis and Ann Margaret B. (David) Romero, grandchildren, McKenna Grace Boggs, Anthony Armao, and John Rocco Armao, 23 nieces and nephews, 30 great nieces and nephews, 1 great great niece and 1 great great nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis Boggs Sr. and Marion Guirard Boggs, one niece, Kayla Rae Boggs. Pallbearers will be Scott Boggs, Billy Boggs, Jody Boggs, Peter Boggs, John Fuselier and Matthew Romero. Honorary pallbearers will be Colleen Willis, Margaret Romero, Jimmy Boggs, Chuck Boggs, Tance Boggs and Patrick Boggs.
