Catahoula - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, on Friday, April 12, 2013, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula, for Michael Joseph Boudreaux, 63, who passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Henderson from 4:30 pm until 11:00 pm on Thursday and continue on Friday at 7:00 am until 12:00 noon. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Fr. Richard Fabre will officiate at the Funeral Mass and scriptures will be read by Britlynn Laviolette. Music will be provided by his sister, Helen Boudreaux. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Michael was a commercial fisherman by trade and enjoyed fishing as a pastime as well. He enjoyed taking long rides along the levee and playing cards. Michael loved spending time with his family and friends, most especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Howard (Staci) Boudreaux of Cecilia; two daughters, Tracy (Brian) Laviolette and Nicole Boudreaux, all of Parks; four brothers, Jimmy (Janice) Boudreaux of St. Martinville, Larry (Patricia) Boudreaux of Henderson, Johnny (Mary) Boudreaux of St. Martinville, and Patrick (Cheryl) Boudreaux of Henderson; four sisters, Annalee Fauncher of Carencro, Annalou Boudreaux of Youngsville, Ruby Segura of Breaux Bridge, and Helen Boudreaux of Butte LaRose; 8 grandchildren, Justin Boudreaux, Ashley Boudreaux Breaux, Britlynn Laviolette, Blaze Barras, Bryce Laviolette, Brielle Barras, Logan Boudreaux, and Madilyn Boudreaux; and two great grandchildren, Keira and Kolt Boudreaux. He is preceded in death by his father, Mayer "Pokit" Boudreaux; his mother, Lena Johnson Domingue; four brothers, Wesley, Adley and Al Boudreaux and Chris Domingue; and two sisters, Thelma LeBlanc and Cecile Parpley. Pallbearers will be Howard Boudreaux, Blaine Barras, Bryce Laviolette, Brian Laviolette, Blaze Barras, and Justin Boudreaux. Pellerin Funeral Home of Henderson is in charge of arrangements.
