Michael Stephen Hussey

Scott - Michael Stephen Hussey, 86, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Mr. Hussey was a veteran of World War II having honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was retired with Southern Pacific Railroad after many years of dedicated service. It gave him great joy to take care of his family and he always made sure that everyone was taken care of at all times. Survivors include his daughter, Diana Journet (Michael), of Lafayette; three sons, Jeffrey Hussey, of Scott, Claude Hussey and Michael Hussey, both of Rayne; one sister, Beverly Hanson, of Texas; and eight grandchildren, Matt Leal, Christopher Leal, Jacob Leal, Michael Guidry, Michelle Guidry, Michelle Hussey, Blake Hussey, and Brandon Hussey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Josephine Sanderson Hussey; one brother, Joseph Hussey; and one sister, Joyce Hendrix.
