Broussard - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Broussard for Michael Johnson, 46, who passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019, in Lafayette. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Broussard from 8:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Thomas James will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Broussard. Michael was very active in the community. He was always available to assist anyone in any capacity. Michael enjoyed singing, traveling, working with children, cooking different kinds of foods, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his loving brothers, Aaron K. Johnson and wife Trudi of Broussard, and Walter Johnson, Jr. of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Johnson, Sr., and Mary Lorita Johnson; sister, Mercede Johnson; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob and Victoria Johnson; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam and Mercede Joseph.
