Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, June 17, 2010, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Michael 'Mike' Anthony Marks, 52, who died Saturday, June 12, 2010 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Entombment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Mausoleum in Arnaudville. Father Brian Taylor will be the celebrant of the Funeral Mass. Konner Champagne will serve as the Altar Server. Readings will be read by Emily 'Tootie' Miller and Danielle Pontiff and Gift Bearers will be Hana Quebedeaux and Heather Hollier. Mike was born on July 18, 1957 in Arnaudville, LA. He worked as an operator for Tejas Power and Spectra for 20 years and for the last three years he worked as an operation supervisor for Bobcat Gas Storage. ; As well as enjoying his work, Mike also enjoyed many hobbies, a few of which were, offshore fishing, traveling, and motorcycle riding. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all. Mike was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Gulf Coast Cavern Operators, and Louisiana Pipeline Association. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Shelia A. Marks; a niece (Godchild) that he raised as his own daughter, Hana Quebedeaux; his parents, Grace S. Marks and Louis Marks; his mother and father-in-law, Jane L. Artigue and Harris Artigue, all of Arnaudville. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Karen T. Marks; nephew, Hunter Marks and niece, Heather M. Hollier and her husband, Chris, of Baton Rouge. Brothers-in-law, Randy Artigue and his wife, Lee Artigue, Glenn Artigue and his wife, Michelle K. Artigue; their children, Jacey, Orey, Tye, and Bradey 'Puppy' Artigue; sister-in-law, Lisa A. Quebedeaux, and her children, Hallie and Hoby Quebedeaux; and a special Godchild, Konner Champagne. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Marks; maternal grandparents, Louis and Alma Stelly, and paternal grandparents, Medrick and Berthilele Marks. Pallbearers will be Glenn Artigue, Hunter Marks, Gary Richard, Richard Champagne, Wesley Olivier, Dwight Fontenot, and Greg Richard. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Doucet, Harold 'Bubba' Doucet, Myran Chautin, Jacey Artigue, Orey Artigue, Randy Artigue, Rusty Pontiff, Carl Leger, David Hebert, and Ralph Cormier. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will continue on Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
