Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Thursday, June 21, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, in Breaux Bridge for Michael Lewis Morrogh, 67, who died on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at his residence in, Breaux Bridge.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette.
Fr. Allen Breaux, associate pastor of St. Bernard Church, will conduct the services. Readers will be Mina Dekle and Jean Castille. Gift bearers will be his grandchildren, Danielle, Madison, Cole, Kynnedy, and Micah.
Mike was a comptroller for Timco Services for 24 years and a member of the AICPA and LCPA. He served as undersecretary of the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries, under Burt Angelle's administration. He was avid fisherman and hunter and was a member of the Attackapas Hunting Club and a founding member of the Bayou Bass Anglers.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Gold Morrogh, of Breaux Bridge; one son, Miguel Morrogh and his wife, Susan, of Breaux Bridge; two daughters, Melissa Meche and her husband, David, of Sunset, and Anna Proctor and her husband, Mark, of Breaux Bridge; one brother, Jimmie Morrogh and his wife, Lois; one sister, Liz Simon and her husband, Albert, all of Breaux Bridge; nine grandchildren, Jiles, Cole, Kynnedy, Austin, Jesse, Madison, Danielle, Micah, and Maddox; three step grandchildren, Courtnie, Ty, and Mi; and two step great grandchildren, Tagg and Taytem.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. L. A. and Margaret Braud Morrogh; and his first wife, Irene Delhomme Morrogh.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
Pallbearers will be Miguel Morrogh, Jiles LeBlanc, Mark Proctor, David Meche, Austin Proctor, and Jesse Proctor.
