New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 22, 2010, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Michael Robert Roth, 43, who passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010 in Lafayette. Mike fought a courageous battle with a brief illness due to complications from his MS medication. Mike was a long time employee of Walgreens. We would like to give special thanks to Lee Jones and the Walgreens family for their care and support. We would also like to give special thanks to Dr. Charles Kaufman for his care and support during Mike's illness. Thumbs up, Mike! Rabbi Barry Weinstein will officiate. Interment will follow in Gates of Prayer Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Marie Porter Roth; his daughters, Celeste Ruthie Roth, all of Lafayette; his parents, Gary and Beth Pilaud Roth of Baton Rouge; his step son, Clayton Swanson of Lafayette; his sister, Robin Roth Allred and husband Brian of Gonzales; his aunt, Susan Roth Williams of Baton Rouge and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leo Ruth Roth and Joe Annie Pilaud. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia.
