Michael Keith Schexnider

Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 19, 2007, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Michael Keith Schexnider, 48, who passed away on Friday, November 16, 2007 at his residence in Henderson. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Michael loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and tinkering with motorcycles while always thinking of a way to redesign them. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Charlene C. Schexnider of Henderson; his father, Ernest Schexnider and mother, Patsy Mae B. Schexnider both of Henderson; his paternal grandmother, Eugenie Schexnider of Henderson; his sons, Dustin Michael Breaux of Denham Springs; his stepson, Dorsey Broussard of Breaux Bridge; his daughter, Michelle Blanchard of Butte Larose; his step daughters, Mamie Cooks, Maria Broussard and Gabrielle Broussard all of Breaux Bridge; his brother, Ricky Schexnider and wife, Sharon of Henderson, his sister, Kristene "Meg" Arabie and husband, Darrel of Henderson; his two step grandchildren, Victorian and Drake Cooks; his niece, Lindsey Arabie and his nephews, Bruce and Ryan Schexnider and Trey Trahan. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Clismae Broussard; his paternal grandfather, Fernest Schexnider. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 a.m. Sunday, November 18, 2007 until 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 19, 2007. A rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, the family request that only plants and silk arrangements be accepted due to a family member having an allergic reactions to real flowers. Pellerin Funeral Home of Henderson is in charge of arrangements.
