Michael James Touchet

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, November 11, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Michael James Touchet, 56, who passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016, in Aransas Pass, Texas. Interment will be at a later date. Deacon Patrick Burke will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Visitation will continue on Friday from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM. A native of New Iberia and a resident of Aransas Pass, Texas, Mr. Touchet was born on September 4, 1960 to Elce Joseph Touchet and Stephanie Crochet Touchet. He loved working in the oilfield and his hobbies included hunting and fishing. Michael also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his son, Trey Touchet of West Hollywood, CA; parents, E.J. "Shorty" and Stephanie Crochet Touchet of Loreauville; sister, Brenda Babineaux and husband Thomas of Loreauville; brothers, Jerry Touchet of New Iberia, Robert Touchet of Broussard, Randy Touchet of New Iberia, and Chad Touchet and wife Crystal of Loreauville.
